The Guvon Academy, partnered with Hot Care, are inviting students to apply for their bursary programme for the 2026 academic year.

The bursary will cover professional chef training at Guvon Academy, for a 3 year programme - Occupational Certificate: Chef (SAQA ID 101697). The programme will begin in July 2026 in Johannesburg.

The bursary was generously donated during the HOT 1027 Teddython 2025, continuing Guvon Academy’s long-standing support of Hot Cares initiatives and creating another meaningful opportunity for a deserving young South African.

Studies will be done through the Guvon Academy, a proud member of the Guvon Hotels & Spas Group . The programme combines theoretical learning, practical training, and workplace experience to prepare graduates for the hospitality industry.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with talent, passion, and a dream of working in the culinary world.

WHAT IS THE VALUE OF THE HOT CARES / GUVON ACADEMY BURSARY?

The bursary, valued at R350 000, will provide cover for the following expenses: full tuition, textbooks, a professional knife set, chef uniforms, and access to internationally recognised Highfield Qualifications from the UK.

WHAT IS THE SELECTION PROCESS FOR THE GUVON ACADEMY BURSARY?

1 applicants will be selected to receive the bursary, with the winner set to be announced on 2 July 2026.
